Last night I made these cheesecake bites for Matt and myself. I'm determined to really get cooking (healthier, from now on, but man those cheesecake bites were delicious).

My past couple of nights in San Marcos have been incredible. Relaxing doesn't really come easily for me, so it's been refreshing to lean back on the couch (working on my essay), listening to jazz with Matt (thinking about my essay) and whipping up some treats in ze kitchen (again, thinking about my essay).

Ha, I'm going to go work on that essay. Now.

This morning my dream of having a ginger in my portfolio was fulfilled by the beautiful Abigail (when she asked me to take some headshots for her awhile back I was as excited as a twelve year old at a Jonas Bros. concert). With me working in a coffee shop and her a donut shop, waking up early wasn't a problem for either of us (but trekking out in the insane humidity got pretty obnoxious). However she put on a brave, and extremely lovely, face for the camera. She also has very lovely hands like my friend, Ashton. What can I say, some people just have really cool hands.

I haven't taken photos in awhile, and like anything else doing something you love after a dry spell is incredibly liberating and refreshing (especially when amongst a wooded landscape).
